Legal notice
Last updated: · Version 0.3
This is a translation for convenience. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails. Español
This legal notice gives the information required by Article 10 of Spain’s Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI): who is behind RefMe and this website, how to reach us and which rules apply to the website.
Who we are
RefMe is an iPhone app that finds the clothes in videos and where to buy them. This website, [pending: domain], is where we tell you about it. Both are run by:
- Owner: [pending: owner name or company name]
- Legal form: [pending: legal form]
- Tax ID (NIF): [pending: tax ID (NIF)]
- Registered address: [pending: registered address]
- Email: [pending: contact email]
- Company registry details: [pending: company registry details]
To get in touch, just email us. A real person reads every message and replies the same way.
What this website is for
This website explains what RefMe is, how it works and where to get it, and brings together its legal pages and help. It is purely informational: nothing is sold here, there are no accounts or forms, and we don’t ask you for any personal details.
The app has its own rules. If you use it, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy apply.
The shops, prices, profiles and images you see on this website are illustrative: they show how the app works, but they are not real offers or real people.
Digital Services Act contact point
The EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the “DSA”) requires services like RefMe to have a single point of contact. Ours is:
- Email: [pending: contact email]
- Languages: Spanish and English.
If you’re writing about a DSA matter, put “DSA” in the subject line so we see it sooner.
For authorities
Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services can contact us at this address (Article 11 DSA).
For users
If you use RefMe, you can contact us here too (Article 12 DSA). A person replies, not an automated system.
Reporting illegal content
If you think something in the app is illegal or infringes your rights (for example, an analysed video is yours and you want it taken down), follow the steps in Report content. We’ll confirm we’ve received your notice and explain what we decided and why.
Intellectual property and trademarks
The text, illustrations, design and code of this website and the app belong to the owner or are used under licence. You’re welcome to read them, print them for personal use and share links to the website. To copy, modify or use them commercially, you need our written permission.
The Fraunces and Inter typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License.
Third-party trademarks
TikTok is a trademark of the ByteDance group; Instagram, of Meta Platforms; YouTube and Google Lens, of Google LLC; and Claude, of Anthropic. Apple, the Apple logo and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.
We mention them only to explain which content the app works with and what technology it uses. RefMe is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of these companies.
The videos and photos analysed in the app belong to their creators. What we do with them is explained in the Terms of Use.
The example on the home page
To explain how the app works, the home page shows a real example: a video generated with artificial intelligence and what RefMe returned when it analysed it, as is. The person in the video doesn’t exist: it was created by the AI.
The shops, titles, product photos and prices in the example belong to their owners and are the ones the search returned on the date shown on the home page; they may have changed since. They are there only to show what the app does: those shops have no connection with RefMe and do not pay us to appear. If you own any of that content and want it removed, write to us at [pending: contact email] and we will take it down.
Links to other websites
This website links to other pages, such as the RefMe listing on the App Store. And the app takes you to each shop’s website when you want to view or buy an item. We don’t control those pages: we aren’t responsible for what they publish, their prices or their products, and each has its own terms and privacy policy.
We don’t use affiliate links: shops don’t pay us to send you to them.
If one of our links leads to something illegal or harmful, let us know at [pending: contact email] and we’ll remove it as soon as we’re aware of it.
You can link to this website without asking us, as long as you don’t suggest a connection with us that doesn’t exist.
Liability
We take care to keep what this website says accurate and up to date, but it may contain mistakes or fall behind the app. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.
The website may be unavailable for a while due to maintenance or technical problems. We do our best to keep it working well and secure, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.
We aren’t liable for damage caused by others, such as a cyberattack, or for anyone’s misuse of the website. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be excluded.
Governing law
This website and this legal notice are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t take away the protection given to you by the laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts where you’re domiciled.
Privacy and cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives aggregate figures without cookies. The details are in the Cookie Policy.
What data the app handles and why is explained in the Privacy Policy.
